Krishna Kumar is an Executive Coach and the Managing Director of Intrad Consult.
As an Executive Coach, Krishna Kumar, specializes in the Inner Coach methodology that brings together concepts and practices from sports psychology and organizational behaviour to enhance performance of senior managers in the corporate world.
He is an internationally certified tennis coaching professional by the USPTR and the founder-Director of Kinesis Sports, rated amongst the largest professional tennis training institutions in India (www.kinesisnet.com). With nearly two decades of coaching experience, he has trained persons at all levels from Kindergarteners to CEO’s and in 2002 he was the recipient of the USPTR India President’s award for his contribution to tennis coaching.
As a top management executive with a leading textile multinational, Krishna Kumar has been based in India, Turkey and the Middle East. His business development experience spans over 40 countries in four continents.
Krishna Kumar started his career with Madura Coats in the early 1980. After successfully handling various intensive sales and marketing assignments within India, he went on to become the company’s first Export Sales Manager. He took charge of the company’s markets in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and Australia and travelled extensively to these markets.
Krishna Kumar’s uncanny knack for putting his finger on big business opportunities and consistently creating thriving export businesses from zero base won him the company’s managerial ‘Award of Excellence’ in 1989. As Commercial Director of Coats Middle East, Krishna Kumar held direct responsibility for 18 markets, where he conducted feasibility studies, set up manufacturing units and established Tootal Thread Emirates in Dubai as an independent profit centre. He subsequently took over as General Manager of Tootal Thread Emirates.
Krishna Kumar is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (where he obtained his B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering), the Indian Institute of Management (MBA) and INSEAD (for an Advanced Management program).
As a Member of the All India Management Association and The Indus Entrepreneurs, he is often invited to speak at professional associations and leading management institutes. He is a frequent contributor on topics related to sports and management in on-line newsletters and magazines and links to a few of his articles are featured below.
He is an independent Director on the Board of several companies including technology firms like Inet Software Solutions and Connexxions Business Support & Services.
In recent years his clients include leading corporations like Citibank, Volvo CE, IBM Global Services, Fidelity India, L&T Komatsu, Oracle India and Contax (Dubai).
