THE
INNER COACH
THE INNER COACH is a 2 day self-awareness workshop that
introduces the participants to techniques for improving their performance.
The programme is developed around The INNER GAME and the
FLOW concepts, which have their roots in the coaching of
sports.
What is The Inner
Game?
In every human endeavor there are two arenas of engagement: the
outer and the inner.
The outer game is played on an external arena to overcome external
obstacles to reach an external goal. The inner game takes place
within the mind of the player and is played against such obstacles
as fear, self-doubt, lapses in focus, and limiting concepts or assumptions.
The inner game is played to overcome the self-imposed obstacles
that prevent an individual or team from accessing their full potential.
All outer games differ, but the inner game is always the same.
How aware you are of this game can make the difference between success
and failure in the outer game."
WORKSHOP STRUCTURE:
The Inner Game workshop will be spread over four sessions covering
two half-days and may include a practical demonstration on the sports
field/tennis court, involving a live coaching session with the participants.
All sessions are interactive with practical demonstrations and the
lecture component is limited to the beginning and the end of each
session.
The preferred group size is between 10 to 15 participants and
can include persons at any level in the organization. There is
no requirement for any prior involvement in sports.
Programme Faculty:
The lead faculty for the programme will be Mr. Krishna Kumar.
He will be supported by other consultants/trainers from our company,
as necessary.
Desired Outcome:
The Inner Coach technique provides principles, methods, and tools
to learn to get out of your own way so you can express your full
potential in whatever your chosen activity. The Inner Coach was
born in the context of coaching, yet it is all about learning. The
two go hand in hand. The coach facilitates learning. The role and
practices of the coach were first established in the world of sports
and have been proven indispensable in getting the best performance
out of individuals and teams. Naturally, managers who appreciate
the high levels of individual and team performance among athletes
want to emulate what coaching provides.
Self-awareness using the Inner Coach methodology is the basis for
enhancing effectiveness of teams and building superior leadership
capabilities.
The Inner Coach
programme provides the foundation for subsequent workshops on TEAM
INTEGRATION and LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT.
